French Flash Fiction Competition: Years 7 to 9
The Faculty of Medieval and Modern Languages at the University of Oxford invites you to submit a piece of flash fiction in French to our competition. The piece should be no longer than 100 words. Please note that any entries longer than 100 words will not be accepted by our judging panel.
The competition is open to students in Years 7 (aged 11-12) to 13 (aged 17-18). This submission form is for pupils in Year 7 (aged 11-12), Year 8 (aged 12-13) or Year 9 (aged 13-14). If you are in a different year group/age category, you can find the correct submission forms here:
One winner will receive a top prize of £100, while up to two runners up will each receive £25. The deadline for entries is 12 noon on Friday 31 March 2023. For further advice, please see here.
If this is the first time you have entered one of our competitions, an automated verification email will be sent to your email address when you submit your entry. Please click the link in this email to verify your email address; otherwise it will not be counted. Please note that if you have previously entered one of our competitions and verified your email address on a prior occasion, you do not need to do so again.
Tips for submission: we recommend submitting your entry within good time ahead of the deadline in case of any technical difficulties. If you encounter any problems, please make sure you have filled in the form correctly, checked that the file size is within the maximum upload size, or tried using a different web browser.
This form is limited to one submission per email address. Submitting the form more than once will delete the previous submission(s).
