Ms Miriam Schwarz

Miriam teaches German at Oriel, Somerville, Magdalen, Christ Church and Jesus. She holds a Master Degree in Modern German Literature and Social Anthropology and has previously taught at Shahid Beheshti University, Tehran and Freie Universität Berlin. At University of Oxford she is also part of the Critical Theory Network and is currently preparing her PhD in Social Anthropology focusing on the concept of friendship in interrelation with the development of capitalism and the nuclear family. She is particularly interested in feminist and postcolonial approaches.
