Valentina Tibaldo

I am currently undertaking research into the use of spoken language in Sereni’s Gli strumenti umani (1965), and Caproni’s Congedo del viaggiatore cerimonioso & altre prosopopee (1965). My doctoral thesis focuses on the questioning of the lyric form and includes these collections in a broader European context, by comparing them with Proust’s and Kafka’s works.

Before joining Oxford University,I studied at the Università degli Studi di Padova, Université Paris-Sorbonne (Paris IV), and Freie Universität Berlin.

I co-ordinate the Image and Thought Network.
