Research

María Liñeira's research focuses on emergent literatures, literary nationalism and the relationship between language and national literature. She is currently working on her D.Phil. thesis, "Literary Citizenship and the Politics of Language: The Galician Literary Field between 1939 and 1965". Her interests also include women’s writing in the postwar period, contemporary Galician literature, the study of masculinities and the writers Álvaro Cunqueiro and Manuel Rivas.
