Emma Bond completed her AHRC funded D.Phil entitled 'Disrupted Narratives: Illness, Silence and Identity in Italo Svevo, Giorgio Pressburger and Giuliana Morandini' in 2009. Her research interests mainly centre around the link between identity and space, migration and border literature and psychoanalytic literary theory. She is Research Co-ordinator for Italian Studies at Oxford (http://www.italianstudies.ox.ac.uk/) and is currently working on representations of migration in contemporary Italian literature for the ISO 'Destination Italy' research project.
