Choose up to two languages and/or Joint School subjects below to view all possible combinations for a Modern Languages degree course.
There are several combinations available that allow students to begin studying a language from scratch (e.g. Beginners’ German). However, please note that it is not usually possible for students to study two languages from scratch. Candidates would be expected to have competence in at least one of the languages chosen.
All candidates must take the Modern Languages Admissions Test (MLAT). This test is a booklet containing several different papers: please check to see which papers are required for your course. Applicants for Joint School courses (e.g. English and Modern Languages) may have to take an additional test for their chosen non-languages subject.
