Research

Mark Zumbühl's main research is in medieval Irish narrative literature and its contexts, including the development of historical narratives in medieval Europe. His other main interests are linguistic and cultural contact in the medieval Insular world.



He is also working as Postdoctoral Research Assistant for the inter-University Lexis of Cloth and Clothing Project, based at the University of Manchester, which will produce a multilingual dictionary of terms for textiles and clothing in the languages of the medieval British Isles, including Celtic.
