Modern Languages Open Day Talks

Normally, the Faculty holds its main open day for prospective students in May and takes part in the University-wide open days in early July and mid-September. Unfortunately, the Covid-19 situation has meant that the May and July open days have been cancelled. However, we have created online versions of the talks we normally give at the Modern Languages Open Day. These cover: an overview of Modern Languages at Oxford; Joint Schools degrees; Studying Literature; Studying a Beginners’ Language; An Introduction to Linguistics; Careers; and the Student Perspective, as well as some Q&A sessions. You can see a playlist of these talks here. You can sign up for the latest news about undergraduate admissions and outreach here.

We hope this is of interest to sixth formers who are exploring their university options, and we hope to meet you one day!
