Invitation to 'Playing/Singing Debussy/Lili Boulanger'

Please join pianists Eloïse Bella Kohn and Daniel Propper, singer Anna Sideris and Professors Laura Tunbridge and Catriona Seth on 27 November at 5 P.M. for a conversation around performing the works of two major French composers who died within ten days of each other in 1918. They set many poems to music and we will be announcing the winner of the translation competition launched this summer. This is your chance to find out which version of Francis Jammes’ Elle était descendue… was judged to be the best and to gain fascinating insights into the way in which musicians approach such works:
