Student wins R. Gapper Postgraduate Essay prize

Congratulations to Eleanor Lischka, DPhil in French literature at New College, Oxford who has won the R. Gapper Postgraduate Essay prize, for her essay ‘”Ma vision harmonieuse et transparente”: sound and the power of language in Proust’s argument against obscurity’.

Eleanor has won a cash prize of £750, an expenses paid trip to the next annual conference of the Society for French Studies and a mention in the French Studies Bulletin and on the Society for French Studies website.

Eleanor says: “I’m delighted to have been awarded the Gapper prize and I’d like to offer my sincere thanks to the Society for French Studies.”
