On 24 February, Prof. Natalia Nowakowska (Oxford) delivered an Ilchester Lecture on the topic From Tribe to Dynasty? Globalizing the Jagiellonians of Central Europe (1377-1596).

The lecture provided rich insights into Prof. Nowakowska's current work on a new history of the Jagiellonians. It situates the Jagiellonians in their Eurasian context and applies a global history lens to this polytheistic tribe who became a leading dynasty of the European Renaissance.
