Congratulations to Aditi Gupta, a fourth-year DPhil student in French, who presented her research on Jean-Baptiste Gentil, an eighteenth-century French traveller and collector in India, at the Plenary session of the Académie des beaux-arts held on Wednesday, 3 June at the Palais de l'Institut de France in Paris.
Aditi was awarded a residency grant by the Académie des beaux-arts to be able to spend six months at the Bibliothèque et Villa Marmottan in Paris starting January 2026.

Aditi said, "It was quite surreal to be speaking amongst the académiciens who shape France's artistic vision today."
