To mark the panthéonisation of Marc Bloch in 2026, we are delighted to present the exhibition Marc Bloch: Lives, Struggles, Legacies at the Maison Française d’Oxford this term.

Conceived and produced by the Association des Professeurs d’Histoire et de Géographie (APHG) and the Centre des monuments nationaux (CMN), in close collaboration with the family of Marc Bloch, the exhibition explores the life, work and legacy of one of the major French historians of the twentieth century, a pioneer of social history and a committed member of the Resistance.

Organised by Antoine Destemberg, sponsored by the University of Artois and the Centre for Research and Studies in History and Society (CREHS).
