Oxford Modern Languages Alumna, Professor Dame Marina Warner, has been awarded an honorary degree by the American University in Paris. Marina read French and Italian at Lady Margaret Hall. She is a renowned creative writer and literary critic and currently a distinguished fellow of All Souls College. We would like to extend our warmest congratulations to her and to the artist Julien Creuzet and novelist Edouard Louis who received honorary degrees at the same ceremony.
“It is a privilege to celebrate these bold and original voices,” said Sonya Stephens, AUP President. “Their work reminds us what it means to think freely, act ethically, and create with purpose.”
