Perpetua Haydn Taylor (French and Italian, New College) was one of eight students honoured in the University’s Encaenia ceremony.  The Encaenia Ceremony is an annual ceremony at which the University of Oxford awards honorary degrees to distinguished men and women and commemorates its benefactors.

Perpetua was awarded the Gibbs Prize for best performance in Modern Languages for best submitted work in Paper XII Special Subject and Paper XIV Dissertation; the Sir Thomas Blomefeld Prize for best FHS performance in French; and the Paget Toynbee Prize for best performance in Italian Paper IX.

"It was a real privilege to be part of the ceremony and to celebrate the huge contributions all the honorands have made to their fields."
