At the invitation of Professor Francesca Pagani and the PhD programme in Transcultural Studies in Humanities of the University of Bergamo, Professor Catriona Seth recently gave a guest lecture titled "Who’s that in the painting? Marie-Antoinette from the archives to AI". She discussed her recent reattribution of the identity of sitters in portraits by Liotard as well as wider questions of identification with the prospect of an exciting collaboration around AI and portraiture involving the MAH in Geneva as well as the Forensic Studies department of the University of Lausanne and IDIAP.
