Caroline Warman

At a ceremony at the Sheldonian Theatre on 18 March the new Proctors and Assessors were sworn in. Caroline Warman Zeitlyn Fellow and Tutor in French at Jesus College and Professor of French Literature and Thought was sworn in as Junior Proctor.
Sir Nigel Shadbolt, Principal of Jesus College, who pointed out that Proctors occupy one of the oldest positions in the University (older than the Vice-Chancellor!) praised Caroline and said she would do a wonderful job. Her colleagues in Modern Languages agree. They wish her well in her new functions, but will be glad to have her back as a full-time Modern Linguist in a year!
