The Faculty of Medieval and Modern Languages is delighted to announce the launch of a new course, the MSt in Creative Translation.

Led by Professor Karen Leeder, the course aims to give students a scholarly grounding in the theories, methodologies and history of the subject and the space to develop hands-on skills in the practice of translation itself. We are excited that the course will include a built-in chance for students to have specialist language tuition in a new language. There will be an accompanying programme of regular industry sessions with visiting creatives and experts, to offer an introduction to the professional world of translation, allowing students to gain valuable industry insights and build their professional networks. The course takes place against the exciting background of events and opportunities on offer in Oxford and the new Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities.

The course is suitable for applicants with any of the following languages: French, German, Italian, Modern Greek, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish.

Full guidance on how to apply, application deadlines, and entry requirements can be found on the central admissions pages and application guide pages of the University website.
